TL;DR

Senior Staff Software Engineer (Java/AWS): Designing and building high-performance, scalable backend services for the AdsWizz ad-tech ecosystem with an accent on microservices architecture and data onboarding automation. Focus on leading high-level architecture discussions, mentoring engineers, and optimizing system performance for enterprise-scale audio advertising.

Location: Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

Design and build high-performance, stable, and scalable backend systems for enterprise deployment.
Lead high-level architecture discussions and project planning sessions.
Develop software using a collaborative process across multiple engineering teams.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative growth environment.
Collaborate with Product and Global Operations teams for scope clarification and production deployments.
Conduct technical interviews for new engineering candidates.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
8+ years of experience in Java programming (preferably JDK17+).
4+ years of experience with microservices and cloud platforms (ideally AWS).
Expertise in SpringBoot, Hibernate, Reactive programming (RxJava, Webflux), and Kafka.
Experience with Relational Databases (MariaDB, MySQL), Caching (Redis, Memcached), and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

Nice to have

Experience designing and maintaining Public APIs.
Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2.
Advanced AWS expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, EKS, etc.).
Experience with NoSQL databases (Druid, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
