Product Design Lead

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid: 4 days/week in-office required).

What you will do

• Elevate the visual standard of digital experiences through typography, rhythm, and layout precision.
• Partner with editorial, product, and engineering teams to translate creative goals into actionable design improvements.
• Apply systems thinking to balance unique brand expression with scalability, performance, and consistency.
• Take hands-on ownership of high-value design opportunities to improve product quality.
• Model design craft and mentor team members through active participation and collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in professional design roles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand identity application within structured frameworks.
• Experience in digital publishing or content-led design with an emphasis on storytelling and hierarchy.
• Fluency in design systems and proven ability to bridge the gap between design intent and production implementation.
• Ability to navigate technical conversations and work effectively with engineering partners (Figma, GitHub/token usage).
• Must be based in London or able to commute to the London office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience working with complex multi-brand CMS environments.
• Interest and experimentation with AI tools to enhance design workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field.
