What you will do

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Proxy statements.
• Manage complex financial areas such as share-based compensation (ASC 718) and cash flow statements.
• Conduct technical accounting research to resolve disclosure matters and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of financial reviews and audits.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff while supporting ad hoc financial reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Investor Relations, Treasury, and Tax departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Active CPA or equivalent license required.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in public company financial reporting or public accounting.
• Strong proficiency in SEC Reg. S-X, S-K rules, and ASC 718.
• Ability to work in-office at least 3 days per week in Menlo Park or New York.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Workiva.

Nice to have

• Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Previous experience in fintech, high-growth startup, or broker-dealer industries.
• Familiarity with Equity Edge and Oracle FCCS software.
