What you will do

• Establish and maintain technical accounting policies.
• Perform business combination accounting and coordinate purchase price allocation valuation.
• Apply revenue recognition guidance to new products including principal vs. agent assessments.
• Analyze technical accounting guidance from FASB and SEC to document positions in memo format.
• Implement new accounting pronouncements and monitor operational or financial impacts.
• Partner with Product, Legal, and Tax teams and act as a liaison with external auditors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in a technical accounting role.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 805.
• Proven ability to research accounting literature and interpret complex US GAAP guidance.
• Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm preferred).
• Must be able to work from the office in Chicago, Menlo Park, or New York at least 3 days per week.
