What you will do

• Develop and own modeling methods for core neutronics and reactor physics calculations.
• Calculate energy deposition distributions, reactivity coefficients, and kinetics parameters for Digital Twin models.
• Verify model assumptions and assess the conservatism of neutronics methodologies.
• Document technical methods for both internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate on Verification & Validation (V&V) efforts for core simulation software.
• Support cross-functional reviews in radiation detection, shielding, and reactor physics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience with Monte Carlo software such as OpenMC, MCNP, Serpent, or SCALE.
• Strong programming skills, with a preference for Python.
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be able to comply with U.S. export controls; no visa sponsorship available.
• Experience documenting complex analysis methods and assumptions.
