Salary: $82,300–$220,000

What you will do

• Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on overall system performance.
• Design, harden, and verify system performance across dose rate, TID, NDD, and SEE.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening throughout the product lifecycle.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies at the system level.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Communicate analysis results through reports and presentations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must hold a current in-scope Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in radiation engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in radiation interactions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead small groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
