Salary: $106,500 – $146,475

What you will do

• Take ownership of nuclear design and analysis tasks, including shielding and activation analysis.
• Perform neutronics analysis and verify nuclear reactor models.
• Conduct accident dose consequence simulations for demonstration and production units.
• Perform transient analysis using coupled neutronics and thermal calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to provide technical feedback and design requirements.

Requirements

• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
• No visa sponsorship available
• Must be eligible to comply with U.S. export controls
• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent
• 1-2+ years of nuclear engineering industry experience
• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, or FORTRAN

Nice to have

• Experience with MCNP, OpenMC, Serpent, or similar nuclear software
• Familiarity with thermal hydraulic principles and CAD software
• Experience with variance reduction techniques
• Hands-on experience in hardware design or testing
