What you will do

• Lead month, quarter, and year-end close procedures including financial statement preparation and account reconciliations.
• Drive technical accounting research for complex issues and manage implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
• Ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance in partnership with Sales and RevOps teams.
• Oversee multi-state and international tax compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll workflows.
• Establish and document robust internal controls aligned with public company readiness standards.
• Identify gaps in financial systems and implement scalable, modern accounting solutions including AI-powered tools.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States
• 7 to 12 years of progressive accounting experience with significant time in public accounting.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, specifically revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Proven ability to manage external audits and auditor relationships independently.
• Strong proficiency in Netsuite, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Experience operating in high-growth startup environments with a focus on process-building under constraints.

Nice to have

• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in the SaaS industry.
• Expertise in international multi-entity accounting and payroll.
