Underwriting Operations Manager (Fintech)

Underwriting Operations Manager (Fintech): Leading and developing a team of underwriters to assess credit risk and ensure compliance for home equity investments with an accent on pipeline management, operational efficiency, and process scalability. Location: Hybrid, must be based in or able to commute to BGC, Taguig, Philippines (requires office attendance at least once a week). Role hours: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM PHT.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Underwriters to ensure high performance and quality standards.
• Oversee daily underwriting operations, manage pipeline health, and resolve complex escalations.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to operationalize and automate underwriting workflows.
• Review and refine team procedures, controls, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless handoffs and superior investor/customer experience.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective measures to drive scalability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or real estate/HEI operations.
• 1+ years of experience in managing an underwriting operations team.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage/HEI regulatory requirements including TILA, RESPA, ECOA, and SAFE Act.
• Proven ability to manage large pipelines in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience partnering with Product/Engineering teams to enhance operational processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
