What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of underwriters, ensuring accountability and high performance.
• Monitor pipeline health, individual SLAs, and team throughput to ensure timely and accurate file processing.
• Refine underwriting procedures and controls to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to operationalize workflows and implement automation tools.
• Act as an escalation hirify.global for complex files and cross-functional inquiries.
• Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer-centric decision-making.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Taguig, Philippines.
• Working hours: 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM PHT (Philippine Time Zone).
• 3+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or HEI operations.
• 1+ years of experience managing an underwriting or operations team is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements such as TILA, RESPA, ECOA, and the SAFE Act.
• Strong expertise in credit analysis, collateral valuation, and title report review.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams on operational process enhancements.
• Proficiency in scaling team workflows and implementing paperless documentation systems.
