What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of underwriters, ensuring accountability and high performance.
- Monitor pipeline health, individual SLAs, and team throughput to ensure timely and accurate file processing.
- Refine underwriting procedures and controls to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to operationalize workflows and implement automation tools.
- Act as an escalation for complex files and cross-functional inquiries.
- Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer-centric decision-making.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to commute to Taguig, Philippines.
- Working hours: 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM PHT (Philippine Time Zone).
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or HEI operations.
- 1+ years of experience managing an underwriting or operations team is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements such as TILA, RESPA, ECOA, and the SAFE Act.
- Strong expertise in credit analysis, collateral valuation, and title report review.

- Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams on operational process enhancements.
- Proficiency in scaling team workflows and implementing paperless documentation systems.
