TL;DR
Data Engineer (Fintech): Building and maintaining Data Infrastructure components to work seamlessly within Pay AWS and GCP project structures with an accent on ingestion and custom CDC logic for AWS. Focus on ensuring Pay data lands reliably in cloud providers and providing guidance to Pay engineers.
Location: Kaunas, Vilnius. Hybrid work model where 2 days in the office are recommended but not enforced.
Salary: € 3,558 - € 6,517 gross per month

What you will do
- Build and maintain Data Infrastructure components (Ingestion, Airflow, ML) to work seamlessly within Pay AWS and GCP project structures.
- Build and maintain ingestion and custom CDC logic for AWS to ensure Pay data lands reliably in cloud providers.
- Work across teams (ML, Experimentation, Impact) to help Pay adopt new tooling like Feature Flags, Model Serving in AWS, and Experimentation Metrics.
- Own the Pay Airflow DAGs and dbt models, make sure they meet the high reliability and compliance standards required for fintech.
- Provide guidance to Pay engineers on deploying and configuring shared components in their kubernetes clusters.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure our product performs well.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience building and operating data pipelines at scale.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP and AWS.
- Hands-on experience working with containerised and distributed environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for managing cross-cloud resources.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Kafka, Airflow and ML serving patterns.
