What you will do

• Develop product features, enhancements, and fixes for Universe and Unidata databases using C/C++.
• Create test cases and review results to ensure high product quality.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Leverage AI tools to analyze requirements, estimate effort, and implement new features.
• Drive improvements in engineering practices and overall product functionality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support DevOps, innovation, and quality practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C/C++ with a minimum of 2 years of professional development experience.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals (ACID, indexing, query optimization, concurrency control).
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (memory management, POSIX APIs, threads, file systems).
• Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with C/C++ debugging tools such as gdb and Valgrind.
• Must be located in Lithuania.

Nice to have

• Experience with MultiValue databases or database kernel development.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
• Knowledge of compiler architecture (GCC/Clang toolchains).
• Experience with Python, Java, or client-server architecture.
• Exposure to cloud or virtualized environments (AWS, Azure, containers).
