What you will do

• Underwrite and grow the Financial Institutions book of business profitably within the dedicated region.
• Establish, develop, and expand broker and customer relationships.
• Assess risks, coverage, terms, and conditions, driving related underwriting processes.
• Work closely with the Madrid team regarding clients and brokers.
• Develop the Underwriting strategy, guidelines, standards, processes and tools as well as developing new products and updating existing ones as required.
• Attend regular broker and client meetings with some travel to represent hirify.global as required.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and make quick decisions while maintaining underwriting integrity and profitability.
• Proven experience in an Underwriting function and an understanding of the regional insurance market.
• Effective interpersonal skills as you collaborate with partners within Spain and Southern Europe.
• Proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities with a strong focus on profitable growth.
• Fluency in Spanish, and good level of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Italian a plus.
• The legal right to live and work in Spain
