VP of Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Own engineering execution and delivery across product and platform initiatives.
• Translate product and technical strategy into realistic plans, milestones, and commitments.
• Evolve team structures, ownership boundaries, and collaboration models as the organization scales.
• Build and coach engineering managers and tech leads.
• Establish scalable development processes, engineering metrics, and operational practices.
• Partner with the CTO, Product, Research, Deployment, GTM, and leadership teams on architecture, reliability, security, and customer-facing delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software engineering organizations at scale, including scaling teams by at least two times and reaching 50+ engineers.
• Experience managing managers and tech leads in fast-growing, low-process environments.
• Broad understanding of modern software architecture, infrastructure, and security.
• Deep understanding of modern AI technologies for software engineering and experience with AI- and data-intensive products.
• Strong technical judgment, product mindset, communication skills, empathy, and ownership.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, quality, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
