hirify.global is building a cloud-hosted version of DuckDB to unify local development with cloud operations for data practitioners.

What you will do

  • Design and implement scalable backend services using Go and C++.
  • Build and evolve critical systems covering metadata, authentication, access control, and query lifecycle.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability through rigorous design.
  • Collaborate on architectural decisions and technical direction across the engineering organization.
  • Resolve production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Partner with product and frontend teams to deliver cohesive platform experiences.

Requirements

  • Must reside in or commute to Seattle or San Francisco for hybrid office attendance.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems in Go, C++, or similar languages.
  • Strong understanding of performance, latency, and fault tolerance in production environments.
  • Familiarity with API design, observability practices, and production debugging.
  • Product-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
