Software Engineer (Go/Java)

Location: Remote (USA). Must be based in the US. Currently not hiring in California or New York metro.

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop and optimize the core hirify.global Agent for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Design robust, secure communication pipelines for telemetry and command delivery between agents and cloud services.
• Tackle system-level challenges including native OS process management and isolated execution environments.
• Ensure extremely low resource consumption and high system reliability on customer endpoints.
• Collaborate within a dedicated Agent Pod alongside cloud infrastructure and platform teams.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience developing applications in high-availability SaaS environments.
• Hands-on proficiency in Go and Java (strength in at least one).
• Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) with a security focus.
• Knowledge of cross-platform edge development and operating system behaviors.
• Must be able to pass federal, state, and county background checks.
• Must have valid US work authorization; company is unable to sponsor work visas.

Nice to have

• Secure coding experience (OWASP, Threat Modeling, Penetration Testing, Encryption).
• Experience scaling websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), and DynamoDB.
• Prior experience working on applications with continuous client connectivity.
