What you will do

• Architect and maintain scientific computing libraries for mineral exploration analysis.
• Build scalable experimentation, evaluation, and simulation frameworks for machine learning.
• Transform R&D prototypes into robust, production-grade ML pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and geoscientists to predict ore locations using statistical and deep learning approaches.
• Promote engineering best practices, including testable and composable code development.
• Participate in occasional global field site visits to observe and iterate on exploration technology.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer, data scientist, or ML engineer.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
• Proficiency in Python, particularly with array-based packages like xarray and numpy.
• Expertise in MLOps and the creation of robust machine learning systems.
• Strong experience working with scientific data and visualizing insights for domain experts.
• Deep understanding of ML foundations including traditional and deep learning techniques.
