IT Business Analyst

TL;DR

IT Business Analyst: Driving enterprise transformation initiatives and business process improvements through system analysis and requirements management with an accent on SQL-based data analysis and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration. Focus on bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Location: Must be based in New York City (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week). hirify.global does not sponsor U.S. work permits or employment visas.

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000

What you will do

• Analyze and document business requirements across sales, finance, and security units to drive process improvements.
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Create project plans and ensure alignment across all organizational levels.
• Conduct quality assurance throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure technical expectations are met.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to deliver actionable insights.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows and status reports for leadership.

Requirements

• 5–9 years of experience in IT business analysis or a related analytical role.
• Strong SQL and database management proficiency.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and produce actionable business insights.
• Expertise in process documentation and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Business Objects.
• Knowledge of ITIL Foundations.
