What you will do

• Design and document energy storage control software using MathWorks Matlab, Simulink, and C.
• Integrate grid-scale battery and power conversion systems from industry-leading manufacturers.
• Support requisition engineering by troubleshooting field issues and identifying root causes.
• Lead the team technically regarding grid code compliance and control architecture.
• Manage development tasks, documentation, and reporting within the Agile framework using Jira and Conhirify.global.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics, Controls, or Power Engineering required; Master degree preferred.
• 12+ years of control software development experience (10+ years with Master degree).
• Expertise in MathWorks Matlab/Simulink for model-based systems engineering.
• Deep knowledge of power system market applications, power generation, and energy storage controls.
• Experience with closed-loop control algorithms and Agile/Git development workflows.
• Must be able to work on-site (4 days/week) in Houston, TX or Arlington, VA.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus TCP, MQTT, DNP3, IEC 61850).
• Knowledge of HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems like Typhoon or OPAL.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and CI/CD toolchains.
