What you will do

• Develop and maintain computable cohort definitions and longitudinal patient datasets from claims and EMR/EHR systems.
• Manage proprietary semantic content, ontologies, and vocabularies to ensure consistent clinical interpretation.
• Integrate emerging AI-enabled tools and OHDSI-community methodologies into data extraction and phenotyping workflows.
• Establish strategies for the evaluation and validation of AI-extracted clinical variables.
• Design scalable workflows for extracting and transforming clinical data from complex healthcare sources.
• Collaborate with clinical scientists to align cohort definitions with meaningful research inclusion criteria.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States
• Advanced degree in Clinical Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Medicine, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of experience working with clinical or real-world healthcare data.
• Hands-on experience with claims and EHR/EMR data extraction and transformation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong knowledge of clinical coding systems such as ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, and OMOP common data model.

Nice to have

• Experience with terminology browsers and authoring tools like Usagi.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Prior experience working within an agile-based team.
