Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site in Menlo Park, CA)
Salary: $174,241–$280,705

What you will do
- Build and deploy LLM-powered applications including retrieval systems and AI agents
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to scope automation requirements and define success metrics
- Develop lightweight data pipelines and analytics to support AI impact measurement
- Own projects from initial prototyping through production deployment and monitoring
- Establish standards for responsible AI use, prompt engineering, and evaluation
- Lead internal training sessions on LLM fundamentals and AI-assisted development tools
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or ML engineering
- Hands-on experience building production applications with LLM APIs
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and relational databases
- Proven experience deploying and maintaining production systems
- Familiarity with AWS cloud environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a 0-to-1 environment
Nice to have
- Experience with vector databases, retrieval architectures, and embedding models
- Familiarity with agent frameworks or workflow orchestration tools
- Previous entrepreneurial experience
- Background in healthcare, biotech, or other regulated industries
- Experience with traditional ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
