Software Engineer II (Fintech)

Software Engineer II (Fintech): Focusing on solutions for the AI Transformation team, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable software modules and components with an accent on backend systems using C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Focus on implementing, testing, and iterating on software solutions that address both short-term and long-term considerations with a maintainable, sustainable mindset.

Location: Must work in-office at least three days per week at our Fort Lee, New Jersey headquarters.

Salary: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable software modules and components.
• Build backend systems using C#, .NET 10, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Utilize infrastructure including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement, test, and iterate on software solutions with a maintainable, sustainable mindset.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing enterprise systems in modern, current object-oriented languages, with at least 2+ years of C#.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Experience working with AI assistive and agentic code generation (e.g. Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).
• Experience with database persistence frameworks (e.g. nHibernate, Entity Framework).
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience or understanding of Domain Driven Design.

Nice to have

• Financial industry / accounting experience or understanding.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and event driven architecture.
