TL;DR
Sales Manager (Fintech): Building and managing an acquisition sales team based in Manchester with an accent on driving sales strategy, performance, development, and retention. Focus on mentoring and coaching BDMs, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive growth.
Location: Hybrid role based in Manchester. The Business Development Team works from the Manchester office 5 days per week for the first 3 months, with the opportunity to work in the office 3 days per week after that.

What you will do
- Build a team of 8-12 BDMs, mentoring and coaching them through formal and informal channels.
- Review performance and effectiveness through analytics and pipeline management.
- Balance team targets and objectives with broader business objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate with other Sales Managers on best practices, process improvements, and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in developing sales strategies to drive growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
- A comprehensive understanding of SMEs and their financial workings.
- Data-driven mindset and ability to analyze funnel and performance data.
- Ability to motivate and drive performance within your team.
- A track record of mentoring and coaching junior team members to success.
- A results-driven commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example in telesales.

Hiring process
- First stage: 30-minute intro and values call with Talent Partner.
- Second stage: 30-minute coffee and introductory interview with Head of Sales, Manchester.
- Final stage: On-site interview loop in the Manchester office, including a case study presentation task, meeting with the Senior People Partner for Sales, and meeting with the CCO.
