GCP Data Platform Product Owner: Defining and delivering enterprise-scale data platform capabilities on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with an accent on data ingestion, processing, and analytics. Focus on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC

What you will do

Define and own the product roadmap for the GCP Data Platform.
Translate business needs into scalable platform features and technical requirements.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog in alignment with strategic objectives.
Partner with engineering teams to deliver data platform solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics capabilities.
Drive adoption and enablement of GCP-native services.
Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, data platforms, or analytics.
5+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience, including roadmap development and backlog management.
5+ years of experience delivering enterprise data solutions on cloud or big data platforms (GCP, Hadoop, Spark, or similar).
3+ years of experience in data architecture or cloud-based data platform design.
Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, and transformation pipelines.
Proven ability to work in Agile environments and manage competing priorities.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Dataplex, and Cloud Composer.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, IAM, and enterprise security practices.
Experience supporting large-scale data platforms or data lake implementations.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
