TL;DR
Platform Engineer (AWS): Building and evolving a secure, scalable, and developer-friendly cloud platform with an accent on CI/CD automation, DevSecOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code. Focus on designing self-service capabilities, enhancing developer experience, and leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize system reliability and engineering productivity.
Location: Must be based in the Netherlands with a requirement to work from the Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
Salary: €5,200 – €6,800 gross per month (plus 8% allowance).

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated software delivery.
- Embed DevSecOps practices and security checks into the development lifecycle.
- Develop self-service platform capabilities to simplify deployment and environment management.
- Improve developer experience by reducing operational complexity and increasing automation.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Must be able to work from the Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, services, and serverless technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Serverless Framework or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps principles, and security automation.
Nice to have
- Experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms.
- Knowledge of microservices-based architectures and policy-as-code.
- Familiarity with the SAFe framework.
- Interest in sustainable travel.
