Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: Must be based in the Netherlands with a requirement to work from the Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.

Salary: €5,200 – €6,800 gross per month (plus 8% allowance).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and automated software delivery.
• Embed DevSecOps practices and security checks into the development lifecycle.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities to simplify deployment and environment management.
• Improve developer experience by reducing operational complexity and increasing automation.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Must be able to work from the Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, services, and serverless technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Serverless Framework or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps principles, and security automation.

Nice to have

• Experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms.
• Knowledge of microservices-based architectures and policy-as-code.
• Familiarity with the SAFe framework.
• Interest in sustainable travel.
