Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: San Mateo, CA, United States; in-office 4 days a week. Relocation assistance is available for employees moving to the Bay Area.

Salary: $180,000–$300,000 per year, plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Design and build development and production platforms that support reliable and secure products at scale.
• Architect, build, and deploy core infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and deployment models.
• Develop data infrastructure capabilities, including training and inference infrastructure.
• Build tooling and systems that improve engineering productivity and developer experience.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to bring new product features and research capabilities to customers.
• Work with founders on product direction and business-critical technical decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience.
• Meaningful experience leading and constructing large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Bash, Kubernetes, Python, and/or Terraform or similar technologies.
• Experience with AWS, other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, and/or on-premises environments.
• Ability to debug networking, performance, hardware, memory, and other cross-stack issues.
• Ability to work in the San Mateo office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience building data infrastructure from or nearly from scratch at a fast-growing startup.
• Experience building ML/DL infrastructure or data infrastructure for training large machine learning models.
