Location: Remote (EST/AST time zones, excluding Quebec) or Hybrid (Toronto hub: minimum twice per week).

Salary: $176,000–$264,000 CAD.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Product and Design stakeholders to identify opportunities and craft team roadmaps.
• Guide the team in designing and implementing robust technical data solutions.
• Actively contribute to projects by writing and shipping production-level code.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural documentation, and sound decision-making.
• Support direct reports in their career growth through regular 1:1 meetings and actionable feedback.
• Participate in hiring and team scaling efforts.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in people leadership within software engineering.
• Experience working with large-scale SaaS products.
• Background in hands-on software development and data engineering.
• Ability to foster a safe, productive, and high-performing team environment.
• Must be based within EST/AST time zones.
• Must reside outside of Quebec.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks or AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Deep understanding of what constitutes high-performing software engineering teams.
