What you will do

• Own execution by managing team priorities, driving alignment across stakeholders, and adapting plans to maximize outcomes.
• Define team direction by connecting customer needs, product vision, and technical realities in collaboration with Product, Design, and AI Research.
• Develop your team by recruiting, mentoring, and growing engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring execution is predictable, reliable, and sustainable, implementing best practices in project management and engineering processes.
• Maintain the technical bar by guiding architectural decisions, ensuring sound design tradeoffs, and addressing tech debt.

Requirements

• Engineering Leadership Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Team Builder: Excels at hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent, and creating collaborative, empowering, and high-performing team environments.
• Technical Judgment: Strong technical background with the ability to guide architectural decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and maintain engineering excellence.
• Effective Communicator: Communicates clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strategic Thinker: Plans ahead on a 12+ month horizon, but prioritizes and re-prioritizes aggressively as new information emerges.
• Adaptable and Resilient: Thrives in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.

Nice to have

• Experience building agents, developing evals, or leading teams building LLM-powered products.
• Experience building creative tools in the past or you're a frequent user of creative media tools.
