What you will do

• Drive product concepts from initial inspiration through design and development, including materials, trims, and silhouettes.
• Research and shop seasonal trends to contribute to the creative direction of each season.
• Develop designs using CAD or hand sketches and present them through illustrations and physical samples.
• Manage in-person fittings in collaboration with technical design and management teams.
• Create designs that support brand image, line plans, and price point targets.
• Collaborate across global time zones on a variety of projects, including brand partnerships.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in at least two categories: Denim, RTW, Intimates, or Curve/Plus.
• Must be based in Los Angeles and available for on-site work and travel.
• Proven experience working at a trend-driven brand or retailer targeting Northern American and European markets.
• Strong proficiency in design software including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, nimble, and scrappy startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse and multicultural teams.

• Fluency in Mandarin.
