What you will do
- Grow and lead a high-performing engineering organization through effective hiring, talent retention, and mentorship.
- Define and execute technical strategies that align engineering roadmaps with business and product objectives.
- Establish engineering rhythms, goals, and standards for code quality, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with leadership to integrate AI-native capabilities into complex telecommunications systems.
- Act as the technical representative in engagements with government customers and enterprise stakeholders.
- Foster a high-ownership culture where teams can deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
Requirements
- Minimum 9 years of professional experience, including time in a startup or growth-stage tech company.
- At least 3 years of people management experience (hiring, performance management, promotion).
- Proven track record of mentoring direct reports into leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of engineering discipline, systems architecture, and technical roadmap execution.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills suitable for senior executive and government-level interaction.
- Must be available for onsite work in the New York City office.
Nice to have
- Background in telecommunications or network engineering.
- Experience in security, privacy, or defense-tech sectors.
- Active security clearance or eligibility/willingness to obtain one.
