What you will do

• Lead and structure the engineering organization, defining career paths and driving accountability.
• Define and maintain architectural standards to ensure system integrity and prevent technical debt.
• Implement and optimize scalable SDLC processes, including CI/CD and DevOps integration.
• Recruit, grow, and manage engineering talent across multiple hubs in Italy and Portugal.
• Report directly to the CEO and contribute to the overall product and company strategy.
• Collaborate with leadership to modernize the product portfolio and improve system reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ engineers.
• Strong background in C++ and backend systems.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proven track record in implementing modern DevOps practices and scaling engineering teams.
• Ability to travel between offices in Porto, Milan, and Isernia.

• Prior experience in the fintech or high-load trading systems industry.
