What you will do
- Define and execute global data engineering strategy for customer-facing products.
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of managers, engineers, and technical leads.
- Partner with product and business teams to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices across platforms.
- Drive performance, automation, and quality in data pipelines and APIs.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with global data governance, privacy, and security standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake and modern cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python, dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran.
- Proven track record managing distributed teams across multiple geographies.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the UK on a full-time basis.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS or GCP.
- Industry experience in gaming, digital entertainment, or iLottery.
- Strong understanding of DataOps practices and infrastructure-as-code.
