Solutions Engineer (Japanese/English)

Location: Must be based in Japan. Hybrid work available (2 days in office), with remote options considered for candidates living far from Tokyo or Osaka offices.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze client configuration requirements in collaboration with the Solutions Architects team.
• Draft project plans and implementation timelines while coordinating technical installations and upgrades.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact and escalation for external clients.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and upgrade GlobalLink suite products.
• Report technical issues and request new functionalities based on direct client feedback.
• Mentor new team members and provide training sessions for clients.

Requirements

• Business level written and verbal Japanese and English communication skills required.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing role and technical solution implementation.
• Strong understanding of scripting, regular expressions, Unix, SQL, and APIs.
• Experience with web technologies (Tomcat, app servers) and Linux.
• Exposure to CMS or eCommerce platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Nice to have

• Experience working with CAT tools and localization workflows.
• Ability to travel for client workshops or meetings.
• Previous experience working in multicultural/remote environments.
