Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid workstyle in Japan; regular office attendance is expected according to organizational guidelines and team objectives.

What you will do

• Design and build highly reliable, scalable AWS infrastructure for mission-critical financial platforms.
• Architect multi-zone and multi-region-capable environments with resilience against regional failures.
• Maintain infrastructure that supports patching and upgrades without service downtime.
• Standardize secure Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and collaborate with Security Engineers.
• Automate AWS deployments and enable developers to provision cloud resources safely and efficiently.
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, failure analysis, and infrastructure cost and performance management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform engineering and architecture design experience with AWS.
• Broad practical experience with AWS compute, networking, storage, and analytics services.
• Professional experience with Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code on AWS.
• Experience managing infrastructure changes and releases for high-traffic, business-critical production systems.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Shell scripting, Go, or Rust.
• Business-level Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 or N2 is required.

Nice to have

• Experience operating large-scale, multi-account AWS environments.
• Kubernetes and EKS experience or CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification.
• AWS Professional or Specialty certification.
• Experience with PCI DSS or other payment-industry compliance standards.
• Experience with GCP, Azure, AI/ML infrastructure, or open-source contributions.
