What you will do

• Develop skills in data analysis, coding, and process automation.
• Work with business stakeholders to design and deliver improvements to automate processes and build analytical solutions.
• Support reinsurance data reporting activities.
• Work with other data professionals to automate and productionise outputs.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a non-technical manner, providing explanations of your work and discussing ways to overcome challenges.
• Have the opportunity to meet and network with new colleagues.

Requirements

• On track or achieved 2:1 degree in STEM subject.
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• A proactive approach to personal development and learning.

Nice to have

• Some prior exposure to coding or query languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Some awareness or experience of cloud based data platforms (for example Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Any exposure to data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, or R.
• Familiarity with excel macros/VBA desirable but not essential.
• Above all a genuine interest in working with data and improving processes.
