What you will do
- Develop skills in data analysis, coding, and process automation.
- Work with business stakeholders to design and deliver improvements to automate processes and build analytical solutions.
- Support reinsurance data reporting activities.
- Work with other data professionals to automate and productionise outputs.
- Communicate with stakeholders in a non-technical manner, providing explanations of your work and discussing ways to overcome challenges.
- Have the opportunity to meet and network with new colleagues.
Requirements
- On track or achieved 2:1 degree in STEM subject.
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A proactive approach to personal development and learning.
Nice to have
- Some prior exposure to coding or query languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Some awareness or experience of cloud based data platforms (for example Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Any exposure to data and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, or R.
- Familiarity with excel macros/VBA desirable but not essential.
- Above all a genuine interest in working with data and improving processes.
