Salary: $385,000–$490,000 + equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale backend services, APIs, and infrastructure for developer and enterprise products
• Lead architecture of distributed systems, databases, and data pipelines supporting high-reliability production workloads
• Own platform capabilities end-to-end from strategy through long-term operation
• Shape API design to ensure a high-quality developer experience
• Build secure, reliable, and compliant systems for enterprise and developer use cases
• Collaborate with product, research, design, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver new capabilities

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States and work remotely within US boundaries
• Significant experience building and scaling production backend systems
• Deep expertise in software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, and API design
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives and architecture
• Strong focus on reliability, safety, security, and performance in production environments

• Experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup
• Built products and platforms from scratch
