What you will do

• Lead technical direction and architectural decisions for the Compute and Agents team.
• Own the development of large-scale infrastructure, including agent services and hosted compute.
• Write, review, and pair on high-impact code to ensure quality and craftsmanship.
• Collaborate across teams to design scalable solutions and solve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Mentor engineers and set technical standards for reliability, performance, and operability.
• Engage in customer research to align technical strategy with real-world user needs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the ANZ region.
• Deep experience leading technical direction and owning complex production systems.
• Strong expertise in Go or genuine readiness to master it.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Proven ability to articulate architectural trade-offs and build team alignment.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and kindness.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL query optimization and schema design under load.
