What you will do

  • Lead the architecture and evolution of the AI Agent integration framework across various CCaaS platforms.
  • Design scalable backend systems to manage real-time conversation state, session lifecycle, and context propagation.
  • Establish architectural patterns for AI-to-human handoff ensuring durability, reliability, and seamless user experiences.
  • Define integration strategies for voice, chat, and messaging APIs across complex enterprise environments.
  • Drive system design for high availability and low latency while setting standards for observability and operational excellence.
  • Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with ML teams to operationalize AI capabilities into production-grade systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building scalable backend systems in production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading architecture for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in API design (REST, gRPC) and service-oriented architectures.
  • Strong understanding of real-time communication systems and low-latency design.
  • Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CCaaS platforms or contact center systems.
  • Familiarity with AI Agents, LLM-based systems, or AI orchestration platforms.
