What you will do

• Design, build, and ship features that enhance developer experience and platform productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and inform product development through research.
• Contribute to architectural decisions balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code in Go, Ruby on Rails, and React.
• Pair program and provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Mentor and upskill other engineers while contributing to team consensus.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia or New Zealand.
• Proven experience working in distributed engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in Go or genuine eagerness to specialize.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems, DevOps concepts, and developer tooling.
• Ability to analyze technical trade-offs and articulate complex solutions.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and incorporating feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Comfort with Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.
• Experience with query optimization or schema design in PostgreSQL.
