Software Engineer

TL;DR

Software Engineer (EdTech): Building and optimizing interactive learning features for a consumer-facing educational platform with an accent on fullstack development and AI integration. Focus on designing robust, maintainable systems, driving user business outcomes, and maintaining high standards of code quality and team accountability.

Location: Remote within the United States, or hybrid at company hubs in San Francisco or New York City. Must be available during core hours (9:30am - 2:30pm Pacific).

What you will do

• Contribute code across the entire stack to bring new features from conception to completion.
• Maintain a big-picture view of technical and business requirements to ensure the team builds the right things efficiently.

• Set high standards for quality, velocity, and mutual accountability within your pod.
• Advocate for initiatives that improve developer experience and learner-facing product quality.
• Consistently evaluate feature impacts on users to prioritize meaningful educational outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in web-focused software engineering.
• Must be based in the United States and able to work during 9:30am - 2:30pm Pacific time.
• Proven ability to own feature implementations end-to-end across the stack.
• Experience building robust, maintainable, and scalable software systems.
• Strong perspective on product design and user experience.
• Experience using AI tools and workflows to enhance productivity.
