TL;DR

Account Manager (Fintech): Managing and expanding relationships with key US and EU merchants with an accent on driving retention, revenue growth, and successful product adoption. Focus on executing strategic account planning, facilitating client-led feature requests, and scaling the US account management function for a global payment platform.

Location: Preference for hybrid candidates in New York City, but open to strong remote candidates based in the US.

What you will do

  • Manage and expand a portfolio of existing key merchant accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct strategic account planning, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and client product training.
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to align client needs with feature development.
  • Maintain and improve CRM systems, client health metrics, and standardized reporting workflows.
  • Monitor and report on merchant churn, revenue retention, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Represent the customer voice internally to identify and act on cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in Account Management or Customer Success in Payments or FinTech.
  • Experience working in high-growth, scale-up environments.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple high-priority accounts and interact with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Must be authorized to work and reside in the US.

Nice to have

  • Experience with crypto, cross-border, or multi-currency payment products.
  • Familiarity with client health scoring tools and BI/reporting dashboards.
  • Background supporting technical teams during integrations.
