Senior Developer Experience and CI Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Remote from anywhere; American time zones preferred. Fully remote or hybrid options are available. No visa sponsorship is provided.

What you will do

• Build and support automation and processes for hundreds of daily builds across more than 1,000 repositories.
• Improve CI systems, build acceleration, and release engineering across desktop and mobile platforms, architectures, and distribution channels.
• Develop testing, reporting, packaging, code-signing, app-store, and distribution tooling.
• Drive initiatives end to end and collaborate directly with other teams on browser, search, and premium products.
• Lead best practices, proofs of concept, and implementation work while reducing operational toil.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience with a product-engineering and continuous-improvement mindset.
• AWS and Terraform experience.
• Experience with automation and CI/CD, ideally for mobile or desktop applications.
• Experience with build and release engineering, testing and reporting tools, code signing, app stores, distribution, and packaging.
• Experience across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows, plus Bash/Shell, Python, Kotlin, and Groovy.
• Knowledge of privacy and security, with the ability to use and review AI-generated code responsibly.

Nice to have

• TeamCity with Kotlin DSL, Jenkins with Jenkins Job Builder, Gerrit, or browser and Chromium experience.
• Experience with gn, ninja, siso, reclient, Remote Execution API, EngFlow, ccache/sccache, or custom build systems.
• Automated testing at scale, performance testing and tuning, and SAST/DAST or other security and quality scanning.
