What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development of the Flycar payments terminal, including UI, API integrations, and complex WebSocket flows.
• Ensure reliable software performance across diverse POS configurations and varying network conditions.
• Architect scalable frontend solutions for mission-critical restaurant operations.
• Debug and resolve complex real-time payment flows spanning terminals, mobile applications, and backend services.
• Collaborate within a fast-moving, high-ownership team to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining software for payments, POS, or other high-consequence fintech systems.
• Expertise in handling real-time data synchronization and managing fallback scenarios on unreliable networks.
• Ability to work effectively across the stack, including reading API contracts and performing systems analysis.
• Must be able to work on-site in New York, USA.

• Background in restaurant or hospitality technology and payments infrastructure.
• Experience with multi-tenant systems or hardware-constrained environments like kiosks.
• Exposure to blockchain, web3, or crypto technologies.
