What you will do
- Own the end-to-end application engineering strategy across backend, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing team of senior engineers.
- Set the architectural direction for AI integrations, ensuring predictable behavior and clear abstractions.
- Partner with machine learning leadership to translate model capabilities into shippable product features.
- Establish operational excellence in observability, monitoring, privacy, and production reliability.
- Make critical technical decisions balancing speed, scalability, cost, and user experience.
Requirements
- Significant experience in leading application or product engineering for complex software systems.
- Strong background in building and shipping backend services in production environments.
- Deep understanding of AI model integration trade-offs and associated system design challenges.
- Proven ability to operate effectively across backend, mobile, and desktop platforms.
- Experience making high-impact technical decisions under conditions of ambiguity.
- Bias toward iteration, hands-on leadership, and high technical quality standards.
