What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for backend, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Lead and grow a team of senior engineers across multiple platforms.

• Ensure production-grade stability through observability, monitoring, and proactive failure handling.
• Partner with ML leadership to integrate model capabilities into shippable product features.
• Establish engineering culture through design reviews, code quality standards, and technical mentorship.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading application or product engineering for complex, high-scale systems.
• Strong background in building and shipping production backend services.
• Experience delivering AI-powered products with a clear understanding of model integration trade-offs.
• Excellent system design skills across services, APIs, and data flows.
• Proven ability to make high-impact decisions balancing latency, cost, and reliability.
• Must be based in Palo Alto, California for a hybrid role.
