IT Internal Auditor

TL;DR

IT Internal Auditor (ITGC/SOX): Conducting IT control tests and evaluating governance, risk management, and effectiveness with an accent on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and IT General Controls. Focus on developing audit documentation, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders, and collaborating across business and IT departments.

Location: Must be based in or relocate to Düsseldorf, Germany. Hybrid role with up to 2 days of remote work per week.

What you will do

• Conduct IT control tests to ensure SOX compliance.
• Develop audit workpapers and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communicate findings and track corrective actions with control owners.
• Collaborate with IT and business departments to ensure effective control operations.
• Support internal department initiatives and operational audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of IT audit experience, preferably with a focus on SOX compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGC) testing.
• Fluency in English (company language).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to pursue relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC).

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, data analytics, or RPA.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CIA.
