What you will do

• Define the strategic vision for backend infrastructure supporting the developer platform and APIs.
• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend services and distributed systems.
• Lead system design discussions, architectural planning, and code reviews across the team.
• Develop best practices for high-throughput, low-latency infrastructure components.
• Debug production issues across multiple layers of the stack to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product managers and engineering leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in backend software engineering.
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Production experience with Java, Golang, or C++.
• Proven ability to solve complex scaling, latency, and performance problems in production.
• Experience working in Cloud Native environments, specifically AWS.
• Strong autonomy and ability to execute new ideas within a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with API platforms.
• Experience with managed Kubernetes environments like AWS EKS.
