What you will do
- Design and implement new features for Observability intake services using Go.
- Build and maintain high-throughput backend solutions for data flow, including OpenTelemetry integration.
- Manage development infrastructure using tools like Tilt and Terraform.
- Define SLIs/SLOs and participate in on-call rotations to ensure operational stability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and engage with the open-source community via PRs and forums.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to peers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience programming in Go.
- Must be located in Spain, Greece, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, or the UK.
- Strong experience in the Observability space, including metrics and sampling strategies.
- Expertise in developing high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud service providers.
- Proficiency in stream processing platforms like Apache Kafka.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenTelemetry.
- Knowledge of search or Kibana.
- Experience participating in cross-team technical decision-making.
