AI Tutor - French (AI)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific needs; US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $35–$45 per hour for US-based candidates. Compensation information for international candidates is provided during recruitment.

What you will do

• Label, annotate, record, and provide inputs for multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory data.
• Curate audio data representing natural spoken output, pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, accents, and other prosodic details.
• Evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, contextual interpretation, audio quality, and speech affected by noise or accent variation.
• Collaborate with technical staff on tasks that improve speech modulation, multilingual audio processing, and voice interactions in Grok.
• Help improve annotation tools and audio workflows.

Requirements

• Native French proficiency, including exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear and natural pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception and the ability to identify differences in speech, pronunciation, intonation, accents, and audio quality.
• Ability to transcribe audio accurately across varying accents and recording quality.
• Ability to make independent, consistent judgments on ambiguous or varied audio material and communicate detailed feedback.
• Personal devices must be a Chromebook, a Mac running macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice model training.
• Professional voice experience such as voice acting, voice recording, podcasting, or audio production.
• Advanced transcription and annotation experience covering disfluencies, accents, intonation, stress, rhythm, and emotion.
• Portfolio containing voice samples, annotated transcripts, or other audio-related work.
