Brazilian Portuguese Audio Transcript Editor (AI Training)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be based in Germany, particularly Berlin

What you will do

• Review Brazilian Portuguese audio recordings against existing machine-generated transcripts.
• Correct misspelled, missing, or incorrect words, as well as punctuation errors.
• Verify word-level accuracy, timestamps, and timing alignments.
• Apply detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently.
• Flag unclear audio, overlapping speakers, and other quality issues.
• Maintain accuracy across large volumes of transcript data while working independently and asynchronously.

Requirements

• Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with excellent written Portuguese.
• Strong listening skills, including the ability to understand audio with variable quality.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a patient, methodical approach.
• Ability to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules precisely.
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently.
• Comfort using web-based tools and audio playback interfaces.

Nice to have

• Experience as a transcriptionist, court reporter, or stenographer.
• Background in subtitling, closed captioning, or subtitle editing.
• Linguistics training or a degree in a language-related field.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data-labeling tools, or AI training workflows.
• Familiarity with transcription software, timing tools, audio editing, or media quality assurance.
